Welcome to Lumify
In-person and telehealth EMDR Intensives to assist in more efficient and accelerated trauma healing.
Let’s Transform your Therapy Experience
At Lumify, we shine a light on trauma therapy by offering EMDR Intensive sessions. This evidence-informed model provides a structured alternative or addition to weekly therapy, helping clients immerse more fully in their healing process.
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured psychological therapy designed to help you process distressing memories and experiences that may be contributing to current difficulties such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, low mood, or negative self-beliefs.
It is an evidence-based therapy, endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and approved by Medicare Australia as a psychological strategy under the Better Access initiative.
EMDR doesn’t require you to talk in detail about past events. Instead, it focuses on how your brain stores those experiences and helps reduce their ongoing emotional impact. Through guided sets of eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports your brain’s natural ability to heal, allowing you to feel less stuck and more in control.

Our EMDR Intensives can create space for deeper focus & therapeutic momentum
Grounded in research, our EMDR Intensives introduce an innovative format that offers a focused, time-efficient alternative to traditional weekly therapy sessions.
This structured approach is designed to support clients to engage more deeply and consistently with their therapeutic goals.
For some individuals, EMDR Intensives provide an opportunity to complete multiple therapy hours within a single day, offering a concentrated option for trauma-focused treatment.
Why Lumify for your EMDR Intensives?
We offer half-day, full-day, and multi-day intensive therapy to promote lasting change.
In-person (Williamstown VIC) and Telehealth options are available.
We Harness the Benefits of EMDR
At Lumify, we strongly believe in the potential of EMDR to support meaningful change.
Through years of working alongside clients and witnessing the profound impact EMDR can have, we’ve developed a genuine passion for this approach, which forms the foundation of our EMDR Intensive programs.
Our Unique Evidence-Informed Intensive Plans
Our Lumify EMDR Intensive plans are carefully designed to balance the EMDR work with rest and integration time, aiming to support focused and efficient therapeutic progress.
A typical 50-minute therapy session often includes 10 minutes of check-in and 10 minutes to wind down, allowing for 30–40 minutes of focused work. In contrast, a 3.5-hour EMDR Intensive gives you around 200 minutes of sustained, immersive therapy (equivalent of 4–5 standard sessions—without the start-stop of weekly therapy).
Our Tailored Approach to Intensives
Your EMDR Intensive will be highly individualised, designed around your specific needs and overarching therapy goals. We can also work closely with your regular therapist.
Our Intensives also incorporate movement and time in nature, which studies suggest may support processing and integration.
Optional tailored activities, such as massage and trauma-informed yoga, can also be booked through Lumify, offering additional opportunities to support your therapeutic process.

How it Works
Whether you’re currently in therapy and seeking a focused approach to address specific trauma, or beginning therapy for the first time, we invite you to explore whether our EMDR Intensives align with your needs.
Free Initial Consult
This 15-minute call is an opportunity to explore whether an EMDR Intensive feels like a good fit for you. You’re welcome to briefly share what’s bringing you in and ask any questions about EMDR or the Intensive approah. No pressure, no deep dives—just a simple, supportive first step.
Tailored Plan
If we decide to proceed, we’ll begin with a 90-minute assessment session. This is a chance to explore your history, goals, and readiness for intensive trauma-focused work.
Following the assessment, you’ll receive a guidebook to reflect on and work through in your own time. We’ll then meet again for a 60-minute treatment planning session.
Together, we’ll create a tailored EMDR Intensive plan that honours your pace, strengths, and what healing looks like for you. No two journeys are the same—your plan will reflect your unique story and what matters most to you.
EMDR Intensive
Whether you choose a half, full, or multiple-day Intensive, you’ll experience concentrated, continuous therapy—free from interruptions and the administrative downtime of traditional sessions. This focused format is designed to support deeper therapeutic work in a shorter timeframe.
Follow-up Support
After your EMDR Intensive, you’ll receive a check-in session to help you feel steady and supported in the days that follow. With your consent, we can also provide a summary report to your referrer, primary therapist, or insurance agency which outlines your progress and treatment recommendations for your ongoing care.
