This course was designed to bridge that gap.
Created by Dr Emily Incledon, Clinical Psychologist, EMDRAA Accredited EMDR Consultant and Founder of Lumify Health, this program provides a structured, evidence-informed framework for implementing EMDR Intensives safely, ethically and effectively within private practice.
Built around the Lumify Health Intensive Model, the course emphasises comprehensive assessment, thoughtful case formulation and practical implementation, rather than rigid protocols or one-size-fits-all approaches.
The Lumify Health Intensive Model was evaluated through a pilot study presented at the 2026 EMDRAA Conference, providing preliminary evidence of its feasibility and effectiveness within a private practice setting.
Through 4.5 hours of core on-demand training (or 6 hours for Tiers 2 & 3), you'll gain the clinical knowledge, practical systems and implementation strategies needed to confidently introduce EMDR Intensives into your practice and establish a service that meets growing client demand.

EMDR Intensives provide dedicated time for focused therapeutic work, with less interruption between periods of trauma processing than is possible within a standard therapy hour.
For some clients, a concentrated treatment format may also be more practical or appealing than attending frequent appointments over an extended period. Intensives provide another treatment option that can be considered according to the client's presentation, preferences and circumstances.

Intensives can become the focus of a practice or sit alongside traditional weekly therapy, giving clinicians greater flexibility in how they structure their schedule.
Longer treatment blocks can create dedicated space for focused clinical work, provide greater variety within the working week, and offer an alternative to maintaining a large caseload of recurring weekly appointments.
