EMDR Supervision & Consultation
Supportive, Practical Guidance for EMDR Clinicians.
I know that working in trauma-focused therapy can be deeply rewarding but also complex, challenging, and at times overwhelming. Whether you're developing your EMDR skills, navigating tricky cases, or working towards EMDRAA accreditation, supervision should feel like a space where you’re supported, understood, and equipped with practical strategies.
For psychologists, social workers and other EMDR-trained mental health clinicians who want to:
Build confidence in delivering EMDR therapy
Integrate EMDR with modalities like ACT, CBT, and Schema Therapy
Discuss complex cases in a safe, reflective space
Stay grounded in evidence-based, trauma-focused practice
Expand their offerings to include new and rewarding models, like EMDR intensives.

My approach is grounded in a deep understanding of the EMDR standard protocol, not just what to do, but why each phase matters. I place a strong emphasis on fidelity, procedural accuracy, and clinical reasoning, helping my consultees build confidence in the Standard Protocol before integrating modifications or adjunctive approaches. This reflects my belief that EMDR and its modifications work best when the Standard Protocol is well understood and practised.
-
I have a clear appreciation of how much clinicians are asked to absorb during Basic Training, often feeling like they are “drinking from a firehose.” Through my own accreditation process and consulting work, I have seen how important nuances of the protocol can be lost between training and clinical application. My consultation work is focused on supporting clinicians to translate their EMDR training into confident, ethical, and effective practice with clients.
-
I have a strong clinical and research interest in EMDR Intensives. I am a firm believer in routine outcome monitoring as a way to support reflective practice, clinical accountability, and therapist confidence. This perspective is informed by my own outcome data, which I presented as a poster at the EMDRAA 2026 Conference, and it shapes how I support clinicians to evaluate and refine their own work.
-
My work is informed by knowledge of complex trauma and dissociation, through an Advanced Certification with the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), requiring over 100 hours of CPD. I support clinicians to think carefully about assessment, pacing, and preparation, particularly where dissociative symptoms are present.

As an AHPRA Board-approved supervisor, I love helping therapists grow through supportive and reflective consultation. I know firsthand what it is like to feel overwhelmed when learning a new therapy or when faced with a complex case. My aim is to help clinicians feel more confident, competent, and satisfied in their EMDR work, while supporting progress toward accreditation for those who hold this as a professional development goal.
